Documentation of 'Photo'. A User's Manual for the Analysis of Photographic and X-Ray Negatives

Abstract

This report describes the operation of the currently used, Fortran- IV, x-ray photographic analysis program, PHOTO. The previous reports were issued by the original programmer of the software and were designed for general use. This manual describes the use of a specifically modified version of AFWAL/MLBP. The procedures and examples given here are typical of the type used by this group. The program assumes that the optical densities (ranging from 0 to 3) from the negative have been digitized as eight bit binary integers. The pixel size is assumed to be 0.1mm x 0.1 mm. Contents: Digitizing the Negative; Data Input; Ensuring Data Integrity; Pattern Analysis; Final Procedures. Originator-supplied key words include: Densitometry, X-Ray Diffraction, Photography, Polymer.
