Missions and Vehicle Concepts for Modern, Propelled, Lighter-than-Air Vehicles

Abstract

The primary purpose of this AGARD report is to survey the results of studies, conducted over the last 15 years, to assess missions and vehicle concepts for modern propelled lighter-than-air vehicles. The report includes sections on utilization of these vehicles for patrol and surveillance, vertical heavy-lift, high altitude platforms and transportation missions.
