Prime Contract Awards in Labor Surplus Areas Fiscal Year 1979.

Abstract

This report provides detailed information on DoD prime contracts over $25,000 (for later years and $10,000 for years back to 1977) for performance in labor surplus areas, in areas of substantial or persistent unemployment. Reports list prime contract awards in labor surplus areas compared with total procurement, prime contract awards in labor surplus areas to U.S business firms, by type of set-aside preference, net value of prime contract awards in labor surplus areas; net value of prime contract awards in labor surplus areas for labor surplus area set-aside preference, and net value of prime contract awards in labor surplus areas for combined labor surplus/small business set-aside preference. Supporting data are presented by state, county, and city, according to the purchasing department making the awards.
