Development of the TACOM (Tank Automotive Command) Thermal Imaging Model (TTIM). Volume 1. Technical Guide and User's Manual.

Abstract

This report describes TACOM's Thermal Imaging Model (TTIM). The model allows measured or modeled scenes to be viewed by a simulated imaging sensor. The resulting scene is then displayed for observer evaluation. Currently, the model is operating on a Digital Equipment Corp. VAX 11/750 computer at US Army Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM) in Warren, MI. Keywords: FLIR modeling; Thermal imaging system modeling; and Image simulation.
