Abstract

Cheshire Reservoir Dam is a stone masonry and concrete gravity dam about 50.5 feet long, and about 14 feet high with a dropped center spillway 40.5 feet long and a freeboard of 2.7 feet. Based on the Corps of Engineers guidelines, the dam seems to be in fair condition. Since the dam is classified as intermediate in size with a low hazard potential, the test flood, is 1/2 the Probable Maximum Flood.
