Abstract

Whitin Reservoir dam is an ashlar faced stone wall dam with an upstream earth embankment. The dam is about 473 ft. long and 33 ft. high. The dam is classified as intermediate in size and high in hazard potential. The dam is judged to be in generally good physical condition. However, because of the inadequate spillway discharge capacity, it is rated as in fair condition.
