Abstract

Otis Reservoir Dam is a composite earth and stone masonry dam, about 630 ft. long with a maximum hydraulic height of 31.5 ft, Based on engineering judgement and the past performance of the dam and outlet works, the project is considered to be in fair condition. It has a classification in size of small, and the hazard potential is high. A major breach of the dam could cause appreciable damage to roads and bridges in the downstream area. A number of recommendations are given to be implemented by the owner.
