National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Schencks Pond Dam (MA 00784), Massachusetts Coastal Area, Weston, Massachusetts. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is a 1200 ft. long, 22 ft. high earth embankment structure. There were no in depth engineering data provided. The dam was judged to be in generally fair condition. It is small in size and has a hazard classification of high. It is recommended that the owner engage a qualified engineer to develop means of removing trees and roots from the dam and select acceptable backfill for holes caused by root removal, as well as other remedial measures.
