National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Colton Pond Dam VT 00114, Connecticut River Basin, Sherburne, Vermont. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is an earthen embankment structure with an overall length of 140 ft. and a maximum height of 19 ft. The dam is in fair condition. Loss of concrete particles on the riser portion of the principal spillway was noted. The dam is small in size with a significant hazard potential. There are no recommendations resulting from the inspection. However, there are a few remedial measures which should be undertaken by the owner. (Author)
