National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Mendums Pond Dam (NH 00133), State Number 184.01, Piscataqua River Basin, Nottingham, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is 31 ft. high and 440 ft. long. It is an earthen embankment placed between vertical dry masonry walls, spans the upper reach of the Little river, and is located in the east central New Hampshire. The dam is in fair condition. Based on size and hazard classifications in accordance with Corps guidelines, the test flood is the PMF. A major breach at maximum pool would probably result in the loss of less than 10 lives and appreciable property damage. (Author)
