National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Howe Reservoir Dam (NH 00095), NHWRB 109.12, Connecticut River Basin, Harrisville, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam consists of dry rubble masonry capped with concrete and an earthfill embankment with a total length of about 157 ft. and 28 ft. above the stream bed. The dam is judged to be in good condition. The protective covering of the stone placed on the outlet channel has been washed away. It is intermediate in size with a high hazard potential. There are various remedial measures which must be corrected to assure the continued performance of the dam. (Author)
