Abstract

The subject of career specialization is studied using senior security police officers as a target group. Senior security police officers' attitudes and opinions on the topic are sampled, reported and analyzed using statistical study methodology. The study evaluates the consistency of the target group's opinions and contrasts them with a comparative sample. The study concludes that the senior security police officers have a strong, homogeneous collective attitude towards their career specialty that is statistically different from that of the comparative sample. Recommendations are made for application of the data results and for further study. Questionaires are included. Questions all center around contribution to the USAF, Training, Specialist/Generalist expertise, relationship with other career groups in the USAF, opinions of the security police career field.
