National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Upper Kimball Lake Dam (NH 00149) Saco River Basin, Chatham, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam consists of an earth embankment on the right with a concrete gravity spillway and earth abutments on the left. The dam is about 230 ft. long and 10.2 ft. high. The dam is fair condition. Although there were several deficiencies were noted, there was no evidence of settlement, lateral movement or signs of structural failure, or other conditions which would warrant urgent remedial attention. It is small in size with a significant hazard potential. (Author)
