National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Miles Pond Dam (VT 00062), Connecticut River Basin, Concord, Vermont. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is an earth embankment with a concrete outlet structure and emergency spillway about in the center of the dam. It is 19 ft. high and is about 400 ft. long. The dam is judged to be in good condition. However, due to the hydraulic inadequacy of the emergency spillway the overall condition is judged to be fair. It is intermediate in size with a high hazard potential. The test flood for the dam is equal to the full PMF. There are various remedial measures which should be undertaken by the owner. (Author).
