National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Badger Pond Dam (NH 00085), State No. 21.02 Merrimack River Basin, Belmont, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The masonry and concrete dam has a hydraulic height of 21 ft. and is 260 ft. long. The dam is in fair condition. Seepage near the downstream rockfill buttress and the north abutment are among major concerns. It is small in size with a high hazard classification. A major breach at spillway crest would probably result in the loss of 10 or more lives and could cause extensive property damage. (Author).
