National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dam. Nubanusit Lake Dam (NH 00339), NHWRB 166.04, Merrimack River Basin, Nelson, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report

Abstract

The dam is an earth embankment 279 ft. long and a height of 16 ft. The dam is in fair condition at the present time. Deficiencies in the areas of inadequate spillway capacity, deteriorated earth embankments and some operational aspects require near-term attention. It is intermediate in size with a significant hazard potential. The spillway is considered inadequate and the overtopping could result in the failure of the dam. (Author).
