Abstract

The Olsen Dam is 660 ft. long and 30.5 ft. high. It consists of an earth embankment with a concrete drop inlet type principal spillway and a grass lined earth channel emergency spillway at the right abutment. It is small in size with a high hazard potential. The dam is in fair condition at the present time. Further investigation of the downstream slope and the outlet conduit is recommended when, and if, the downstream reservoir is lowered so as to expose these elements.
