National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Souhegan River Watershed Dam Number 28 (NH 00429) (NHWRB 147.26), Merrimack River Basin, Lyndeborough, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is an earth embankment 340 ft. long and 29 ft. high with a drop inlet service spillway structure and a 30 inch outlet conduit. The dam is small in size with a significant hazard potential. In the event of a failure, the possibility for appreciable property damage and loss of life could result. The dam is in good condition at the present time. No conditions were observed which warrant further investigation. (Author)
