National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Trickling Falls Dam (NH 00440) (NHWRB 72.01), Merrimack River Basin, East Kingston, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is a 250 ft. long earthfill structure which incorporates a 34 ft. long concrete gravity ogee spillway and a three bay sluiceway with stoplogs. It is intermediate in size with a low hazard potential. The test flood is between the 100 yr. flood and 1/2 the PMF. Further hydrological and hydraulic studies of the spillway adequacy should be made. The dam is in fair condition at the present time. (Author).
