Abstract
The overall objective of the PDDI project is to develop and demonstrate a computer-driven interface between engineering and manufacturing. This document deals only with Task I and describes the development of a test procedure for evaluating the effectiveness of CAD to CAD part model translations between different vendor systems. In addition to the test procedures, results from field testing of IGNES translators for 12 different CAD systems are included.
