National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Lake Paran (VT 00006) Hudson River Basin, North Bennington, Vermont. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is about 29 ft. high and 550 ft. long. On the day of the inspection, a 7 ft. diameter hole was found just below water level on the upstream side. It is recommended that the lake level be maintained at the invert of the gate structure. The dam would be overtopped by 3.3 ft. during the test flood (1/2PMF). (Author)
