National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Jewell Brook Dam Site Number I (VT 00014) Connecticut River Basin, Ludlow, Vermont. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is a zoned earth embankment that is 450 ft. long and 58 ft. high. The project is judged to be in fair condition because it is doubtful that the grassed emergency spillway surface would withstand the velocities for the duration of the test flood. The dam is intermediate in size with a high hazard potential. The test flood for the dam is equal to the full PMF. There are various remedial measures which should be undertaken by the owner.
