Fargo-Moorhead Urban Study. Water Supply Appendix. Volume 1. Phase 1, Part 1. Water Demand Projections. Phase 1, Part 2. Low-Flow Analyses.

Abstract

The Fargo-Moorhead Urban Study is a cooperative Federal, State and local planning effort aimed at developing viable solutions to water and related land resource problems, needs and concerns for 1980-2030. The summary report contains a brief, non-technical overview. Readers desiring additional detailed information should review the appropriate technical appendixes. The objective of this report was to develop water demand projections for the Fargo-Moorhead area for the planning period 1980-2030. Projected water demands will be compared with flows of selected study area rivers to determine whether surface water supplies can meet demands. Phase 1 examines surface water supply for the Red River of the North, Sheyenne River, Maple River, Buffalo River, and South Branch Buffalo River. Keywords: Urban planning; Fargo(North Dakota), Moorhead(Minnesota), Water Treatment.
