National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Lake Madeleine (VT 00007) Hudson River Basin, Sandgate. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is about 1700 ft. long and 50 ft. high. The dam is intermediate in size with a low hazard potential. The test flood for the dam is the 100 year flood. The flood will not overtop the dam. The dam and appurtenant structures are in good condition. It is recommended that the brush in the channel downstream of the emergency spillway be cut and removed. All aspects of the maintenance and operation program should continue to ensure that the dam and its appurtenances remain in good condition. (Author)
