Abstract

The enormous potential of biotechnology for wide-scale industrial application had been emphasized recently in Sweden by increased support by government and industry for basic and applied research. This report examines biotechnology research at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm; the Lund Institute of Technology; and the Chalmers Institute of Technology, Goteborg.
