National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Site 1 - Basin Brook Dam (NH 00479), Saco River Basin, Chatham, New Hampshire. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam consists of a zoned earth embankment with an excavated emergency spillway on the right side. It is about 1080 ft. long with a hydraulic height of 43 ft. It is intermediate in size with a high hazard potential. The dam is in good condition. There was no evidence of settlement, lateral movement, or other signs of structural failure or other conditions which would warrant urgent remedial action. There are various remedial measures which should be implemented by the owner. (Author)
