Abstract

The dam is a 250 ft. long, 26 ft. high earth embankment with an upstream slope of 2.6H:1V and a downstream slope of 2.6H:1V. The dam is in poor condition. The inspection revealed potential structural problems. It is small in size with a high hazard potential. The owner should engage a qualified engineer to investigate the seepage problems of the earth dam and the discharge capacity of the project.
