National Program for Inspection of Non-Federal Dams. Lower Eddy Pond Dam (VT 00230), Richelieu River Basin, Rutland, Vermont. Phase I Inspection Report.

Abstract

The dam is an earth embankment with a length of 250 ft. and is 20 ft. high. The dam appears to have had little or no maintenance in recent years. The condition of the dam is very poor. It is small in size with a high hazard potential. A major breach of the dam could cause appreciable damage to property and loss of a few lives in the downstream area. There are various remedial measures and recommendations which should be undertaken by the owner.
