Network Repair Level Analysis Model. User's Guide,
Abstract
Repair levels analysis (RLA) is the general process of determining whether components of weapons systems or other systems should be repaired or scrapped and, if repaired, where repaired. This user's guide describes a model for determining repair level decisions by considering life cycle maintenance related costs. The model formulates the repair level decision problem as a network analysis problem. This approach was chosen because it explicitly considers the indenture level relationships between items (Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs)), and considers support equipment as a resource shared by a group of items. Although the decision problem is formulated as a cost network it is not necessary for the user to construct the network or manually solve it. This is done by the computer program written for the model. Additional keywords: NRLA computer programs; output; computer files.
