Abstract

The US/Japan Seminar on Superalloys was held on December 7-11, 1984. The scope of Japanese work on superalloys is comprehensive, with papers presented on the following subjects: alloy development, processing, mechanical properties, surface stability (oxidation and hot corrosion), phase stability and alternative materials (especially intermetallic compounds). These subjects represent a marked expansion of Japanese efforts on superalloys since the previous meeting in 1972.
