Babinet's Principle for an Anisotropic Resistive Surface Using Different Approaches.

Abstract

Extension of Babinet's principle in electromagnetic theory to an inhomogeneous anisotropic(with non-zero off-diagonal terms) resistive sheet is made. Different methods are employed for this purpose so that a better understanding can be gained. Some basic properties of electromagnetic waves, such as odd and even symmetry, are also reviewed for clarity of presentation. Keywords include: Babinet's principle; Anisotropic; Even or odd symmetry; and Diffraction.
