Software for Numerical Calculation of Two-Dimensional Nonstationary Fluid Elasticity and Plasticity Problems,

Abstract

This paper uses the HELP code to compile a LTDL program in BCY language. It is capable of solving plasticity and elasticity problems of a two dimensional nonstationary fluid (planar or axisymmetry problems), including multi-materials (metals and non-metals). A great deal of calculation was performed to solve problems such as metal projectile penetration into steel target, high speed collision, surface explosion of high energy explosive, spherical explosion, collision of two rods, etc. Very useful results were obtained. This paper describes the capabilities and focal points of this software.
