An Archeological Overview and Management Plan for the Detroit Arsenal, the Pontiac Storage Facility, and the Keweenaw Field Station, Macomb, Oakland, and Houghton Counties, Michigan.

Abstract

The Detroit Arsenal is a 352-acre facility located in the city of Warren, Michigan. The entire facility has been impacted by modern construction in the form of parking areas, buildings, test tracks, recreational fields, storage yards, roads, and a cooling yard. Construction is proposed on the Arsenal, but will occur in areas previously surficially impacted. The Pontiac Storage Facility is a 31-acre installation located in Pontiac, Michigan. The entire facility has been impacted by construction of a storage warehouse and utilities. The Keweenaw Field Station is a 27.3-acre facility located in Houghton County, Michigan.
