Installation Restoration Program. Phase II. Confirmation/Quantification Stage I for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio.

Abstract

The purpose of the Phase II (Stage I) investigation was to determine if environmental contamination had resulted from waste disposal practices at Wright Patterson AFB. In addition, the purpose of the investigation included and estimate of the magnitude and extent of contamination, the identification of environmental consequences of migrating pollutants, and the recommendation of additional investigations to identify the magnitude, extent and direction of movement of discovered contaminants. Only the Phase II (Stage I) portion of the IRP effort at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was part of this Task Order. Field operations under this task order evaluated 21 sites located within eight zones at WPAFB.
