Performance Monitoring System. Summary of Lock Statistics for January-March 1985.

Abstract

The data has been collected since March of 1975 and consists of information describing the traffic through the locks as well as the physical aspects of lockages. The quarterly summary of selected statistics presented in Appendix A provides an overview of the traffic and operation at each lock. The quarterly report is presented as a set of three tables for each Corps District. Information presented for each lock and chamber includes: Table 1. A listing providing the name of the lock, the river on which the lock is located, and the lock's dimensions. In those cases where there is no quarterly information, this is the only table presented for the district. Table 2. A listing by direction and total for the number of tows, commercial vessels other then tows, recreational vessels, barges (empty and loaded), commercial lockages, recreational lockages and tonnage. Table 3. A summary of approach, entry, chambering, and exit times (maximum, minimum, and average) and the number of delays, total delay time, and maximum and average delay times.
