Literature Survey of Induced Traffic Due to Transport Cost Savings.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to review the literature that is currently available on induced movement benefit. The reviewer focused on coal and grain trade. A wide range of sources were consulted and read in order to find any research that had been done on induced movement benefit. Findings are summarized, and future research topics on feasible models were identified. Additional keywords: Benefit-cost analysis, discriminant analysis, optimization.
