Lanczos Algorithm Applied to Modal Analysis of Very Large Structures.

Abstract

The general theory of the Lanczos algorithm for large symmetric eigenproblems is presented. This work was extended to apply to the large generalized symmetric eigenanalysis problem. This effort implements the results of the past research for application to lare generalilzed problems arising in structural analysis. Keywords: Eigenalalysis; Symmetric matrices; Large sparse matrices; Structural analysis; Lanczos; Modal analysis; Generalized eigenproblems.
