Further Results from Application of the Isobasis Design Technique of Disturbance Minimizing Control to a Linear, Time-Invariant Second-Order State Set-Point Regulator with Time-Varying External Disturbance.

Abstract

Further results on the application of the isobasis design technique of disturbance minimization control to a linear, time-invariant state set-point regulator with time-varying external disturbance inputs are presented. A second-order plant is used as an example. The performance of a disturbance minimizing controller designed using the isobasis technique is presented and is compared to results obtained from a controller designed under the assumption that the external disturbance is constant and to results when no disturbance minimizing control is used. Examples of the utility of time-varying external disturbances are presented in the Appendix. (Author)
