All sites appear to be surface sites which functioned at manufacturing locales for lithic tools. The eastern 2/ 3 of the coulee was completely surveyed; the western was only slightly surveyed. The sites located are concentrated east of the Pembinas confluence with its North Fork and along the Little Pembina.
