Forest River Basin, North Dakota. Feasibility Report for Flood Control and Related Purposes. Phase I.

Abstract

The Forest River subbasin is located in northeastern North Dakota and is a tributary to the Red River of the North. In addition to frequent flooding, the city of Minto has a water supply problem. The purpose of this report is to summarize the problems, needs and alternatives for flood control and related water and land resources; to present the results of a preliminary examination of flood control alternatives; to insure adequate water supply for Minto; and to acquaint the public with information obtained during the study.
