Reliability Assessment for Systems Subject to Maintenance and Repair.

Abstract

The main thrust of the research under this grant is to develop the methodology to deal with more realistic models for the quantitative reliability assessment and analysis of complex systems. Inequalities for increasing failure rate distributions have been derived. A new theory of age-weighted distributions is being developed. Work is beginning on exploiting properties of a partial ordering of distribution. Keywords: Reliability modeling; Age-weighted distributions; Repairable systems.
