Finline Horn Antennas.

Abstract

This thesis presents the results of an experimental investigation of the finline horn antennas. Both near-field and far-field measurements were made for horns with differrent physical and electrical parameters. This revealed the influence of the various parameters on the radiation pattern and led to a design which appears to be close to the optimum with respect to gain and sidelobe levels. The application of these horns in a printed circuit monopulse comparator is also demonstrated. Keywords include: Finline Horn Antennas; Printed Circuit Antennas; Finline Monopulse Comparator; and Printed Circuit-Monopulse Comparator.
