Enhancement of Project Prioritization Goal Programming Formulation and Code.

Abstract

A linear goal programming model (LGPM) used by the Belvoir R&D Center for project prioritization decision support was reviewed and improved in this effort. Improvements included addition of efficient sensitivity analysis capabilities, and elimination of certain programming inefficiencies. As a result, the LGPM runs many times faster than before. General application of the LGPM was reviewed and critiqued. Suggestions for novel approaches to project prioritization decision support were offered. Keywords: Simplex method; Heuristic computer programming. (Author)
