A Digital Camera System for Non-Intrusive Measurement of Experimental Radar Test Target Position.

Abstract

System requirements for the Compact Backscatter Measurement Range stipulate a + or - 10 degree phase accuracy at 30 GHZ, or an equivalent; or - 0.1 mm test target position accuracy. Accurate target position data are necessary to correct for position dependent phase shift during system calibration. A non-intrusive position measurement system has been implemented with a digital camera and installed in the compact range area. It has successfully produced data that can be computer processed to determine target position with the required accuracy. (Author)
