ASSET (Acquisition of Supportable Systems Evaluation Technology) Users Guide: Application.

Abstract

This users guide provides information about the procedures and analytical tools contained in the Acquisition of Supportable Systems Evaluation Technology (ASSET) methodology. It consists of six computer models and eight procedures. The models are (a) Reliability and Maintainability (RM), (b) Reliability and Maintainability Cost Model (RMCM), (c) Training/Aiding Matrix (TAM), (d) Page-Estimating Equations (PAGES), (e) Training Requirements Analysis Model (TRAMOD), and (f) Personnel Availability Model (PAM). The procedures are (a) Program Definition Analysis, (b) Consolidated Data Base Development, (c) Maintenance Action Network, (d) Integrated Task Analysis, (e) Logistics Resources Assessment, (f) Comparability Analysis, (g) Life Cycle Cost Assessment, and (h) Design Option Decision Tree. This users guide provides the input requirements, detailed output, access instructions, and algorithms of four of the computer models (RM, RMCM, TAM, and PAGES). TRAMOD, and PAM documentation is referenced in the users guide but not involved. General information regarding the procedures is also provided.
