Intelligent Agents Project.

Abstract

The overall purpose of this contract was to support basic and applied research in the study of interacting intelligent agents (IA's), each of which was capable of acting autonomously in a precisely specified domain. The principal application domain was that of an intelligent interface to a computer operating system. Work in this area split naturally into two broad subareas. The first involved construction of an individual intelligent agent, while the second required investigation of the issues involved in the interaction between a variety of such agents. Keywords: Information systems program contractors.
