Cultural Resource Investigation of the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks Urban Study and the East Grand Forks Flood Control Project,

Abstract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has proposed flood control and flood plain management alternatives for the Grand Forks, North Dakota/East Grand Forks, Minnesota area. The purpose of this investigation is to compile all known cultural resource data within the study area. The reconnaissance investigation will serve the Corps as a planning tool in meeting its obligations to preserve and protect prehistoric and historic cultural resources. Thirty-three sites were located in the study area. (Author)
