Abstract

The principal study objectives are: To develop a method for examining the future impact of various stormwater control expenditures on local government finances, To develop quantitative indicates which measure and reflect the degrees of fiscal stress which may result from a municipality undertaking a stormwater control project; and To develop a methodology which will permit consistent applications so that comparisons of project affordability could be made among all communities involved. Study findings relate to suburban communities in general and to the City of Chicago.
