Abstract

The purpose of this Validation Summary Report is to present the results and conclusions of performing standardized tests on the Verdix Ada Compiler. The suite of tests known as the Ada Compiler Validation Capability (ACVC), Version 1.5, was used. The ACVC suite of tests is used to validate conformance of the compiler to ANSI/MIL-STD-1815A (ADA). The purpose of the testing is to ensure that the compiler properly implements legal language constructs and that it identifies, rejects from processing, and labels illegal language constructs. The testing also identifies implementation-dependent behavior permitted by the standard. Six classes of tests are used. These tests are designed to perform checks at compile time, during execution, and at link time. Keywords: VAX 11/750 computers.
