Abstract

Scientific computers at MICOM (Army Missile Command). This document is a questionnaire from the Army Missile Laboratory. A MICOM Scientific and Engineering Computing Requirements Definition and Analysis Study was approved. The purpose of the study is to determine the near-term and long-term (10 years) scientific and engineering computing requirements in order to establish the sizes (e.g., micros, minis, supers), distribution of computers, terminals, communications networks, as well as software systems and packages required to meet the needs in the most efficient manner. This document has survey and interview forms to be used in each organization to gather data on existing and future applications and hardware. The data will be used to determine the overall requirements.
